Jim Julian - New Arkansas Bar Association President Designee

Jim Julian of Little Rock is the new President-Elect Designee of the Arkansas Bar Association. He was elected without opposition at the close of nominations on October 31st. Julian has served in the Arkansas Bar Association House of Delegates and Board of Governors. He has chaired numerous committees and task forces for the Bar Association including the successful effort to amend the Judicial Article of the Arkansas Constitution in November 2000. He is a recipient of the Charles C. Carpenter Award, the Outstanding Lawyer-Citizen Award and has received two Golden Gavel awards for his leadership roles in the Association. He is currently the chair of the Long Range Planning Committee, Ark Bar PAC, and Legislative Task Force. He is past chair of the Annual Meeting Committee and Legislation Committee. Mr. Julian is active in the community and serves on numerous community boards. Julian joins the Association’s leadership track composed of President Rosalind Mouser, President-Elect Donna Pettus, and Immediate Past President Rick Ramsay. He will assume the office of President-Elect at the June 2009 Annual Meeting in Hot Springs and become President at the 2010 Annual Meeting.
